Renault’s run of LCV sales successes continued in June, with the van brand breaking a new record with more than 500 deliveries for the month.
“We ran a strong campaign in May and June and the results have shown that the market is very receptive to Renault’s LCV models and our market-competitive offers,” said Lyndon Healey, Model Line Manager for Renault Australia’s LCV division.
“In addition, we’re building on 18 years of market leadership in Europe and five years of continual strong growth in Australia. In fact, our gro
wth year-to-date is 38%, with a total of 2,386 deliveries, which exceeds our full year sales as recently as 2013.
“June’s 510 deliveries is our best month ever, beating our last record monthly tally of 490, set in June 2015,” Mr. Healey said.
All three model ranges – compact Kangoo (123), medium Trafic (245), and large Master (124) – recorded strong retail demand.
The Renault Trafic proved particularly popular with buyers in the end of financial year frenzy and has 965 deliveries for the year, more than twice the number delivered in the first six months of 2015.
Assisting the sales momentum, Renault Kangoo and Trafic models once again collected awards in June, being judged the best Small and Medium vans for the second year in a row, following segment-wide testing by Australia’s only specialist van and light truck publication, Delivery Magazine.
