Isuzu Ute Australia has released details of the latest upgrades for the award winning D-Max ute range. The 2014 D-Max will feature climate controlled air conditioning, new trim colours including charcoal leather seating, new GPS infotainment unit with a large screen and improved Bluetooth connectivity. The towing capacity for a braked trailer increases to 3.5 tonnes on 4×4 models with a new design of tow bar, mounting brackets and shackles.
D-Max is consistently growing its market share, supported by a Roy Morgan research study that shows customer satisfaction levels for D-Max buyers is the highest in the ute buying segment with an overall rating of 75.4 percent. This compares with the customer satisfaction rating of Great Wall at 42.5 percent, Holden Colorado at 57.2 percent, Ford Ranger at 58.4 percent and the Mazda BT-50 at 61.5 percent. Second position in the ranking went to the Toyota HiLux at a customer satisfaction rating of 68.3 percent.
The D-Max is the current award holder of the Delivery Magazine Ute of the Year award for 2013. Having enjoyed a sales growth rate of 20 percent per annum over the past three years, Isuzu Ute Australia Managing Director Yasuhiro Takeuchi told Delivery magazine the intention is to raise the market share of Isuzu Ute in the Australia to take ten percent of total ute and cab chassis sales within the next three years.
